Guide: value per mile
A cheaper tire is not cheaper if it wears out sooner. Divide the price by the miles the maker warrants and the order can change.
Our arithmetic from SimpleTire prices, read Oct 2, 2026. See source

Most tire makers state a limited tread life warranty in miles. It is the maker's own commitment, usually prorated and with conditions (rotation records, matching sets, no damage), so read the terms on the maker's page. It is still the most comparable durability number a buyer can see before buying.
Below, we list the warranties stated on the pages we read, then divide the per-tire price by the warranted miles to get a cost per 1,000 warranted miles.

Our arithmetic: SimpleTire per-tire price on October 2, 2026 divided by warranted miles, times 1,000. Installation, fees and tax are not included, and a warranty is not a prediction of the miles you will get.
Long warranties win on paper. In the Corolla LE size, the Pirelli P4 Persist AS Plus cost $1.51 per 1,000 warranted miles against $3.72 for the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 PLUS12. Handling, wet grip and noise are not in this number; read the maker's description of each tire.
Equal prices, different value. In 265/70R17 the Alenza and the Steadfast were both $260.99, but the Alenza's 80,000 mile warranty brings it to $3.26 per 1,000 miles against $3.7334.
All-terrain costs more per mile. The Wildpeak A/T4W was the cheapest 265/70R17 tire per tire, but not per warranted mile5. That is the trade for off-road grip.

Tire prices change often and depend on the exact size, load index and speed rating. Every price here is the retailer's per-tire price on the date shown, before installation, fees and tax. The retailer's own page is the final word on price, availability and terms.
Always confirm the size on your own vehicle's Tire and Loading Information placard before you buy. TreadFit Guide does not sell or install tires and does not take your details.
